My client is looking for a Information Manager or Knowledge Manager to join their Research and Development Operations and Strategy team
The candidate’s main purpose will be to improve scientific and business knowledge sharing. To improve the efficient management, use and re-use of information as well as the the quality and speed of their activities. This will be achieved through a combination of promoting the efficient and innovative use of our Knowledge and Information Management platforms

The candidate will drive the generation of improved understanding of information usage, information silos and information flow in the business. They will work closely with other senior members of the global team and colleagues in the business and IT to ensure that the Information management activities continue to drive efficient and effective use and re-use of information.

Skills required:
• Business process modelling
• Requirements gathering
• Understanding of Knowledge Management theory and practices
• Use of collaboration platforms, such as eRoom, SharePoint, Alfresco
• Use of document management systems, such as Documentum, Alfresco, preferably in a non-controlled environment.
• An understanding of the use of taxonomies and classification structures in document management systems.
• Experience of rolling out key IM/KM platforms and practices
cross-functionally, including experience of planning, communications and PR, influencing and change management associated with the rollout.
