SUMMARY OF POST:

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading the Documentum Digital Asset Management System as required.

The candidate is expected to perform Documentum administration activities which includes carrying out the installation of new core product modules as needed, installation of patches and OS updates, system configuration and maintenance and deploying new code releases.

The administrator is also expected to troubleshoot and provide corrective actions to scheduled jobs and services, and provide technical support for production events. They will be responsible for managing the servers, auditing the system capacity and performance, and carrying out routine tasks and user management in a global enterprise environment. They will also need to assist with content migration and ongoing ingestion of newly identified content.

They will apply problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to support the system, liaising closely with other IT teams as/when required and follow IT guidelines within the department.

KEY SKILLS:

Experienced in Documentum Administration activities which includes carrying out the installation of new core product modules as needed, installation of patches and OS updates, system configuration and maintenance and deploying new code releases
• Knowledge of maintaining the Documentum server software, Tomcat application server and related tools
• Using SVN and Hudson for version control and unit testing
• Experience with Java Programming would be helpful but is not required
• Working knowledge of Java, JSP, Tomcat and J2EE application servers
• Scripting/automation (shell/perl), as well as other Web server administration experience
• Operational maintenance and troubleshooting of the Documentum application architecture
• Experience of Linux and Windows Server administration
• SQL experience.
