Architect - DWH - ETL - Agile - Teradata

We are currently looking for a Architect for a permanent role based in Dublin.

Responsibilities:

Develop a thorough understanding of and validate/assess business and technical requirements, BI infrastructure, architecture, standards and processes, related to the system
Collaborate with the client's Enterprise Architecture Group and Architecture Review Board to manage the alignment of the proposed system and platform changes in conformance with the client's architecture, vision, standards and best practices
Build high level functional and technical design
Review ETL & BI technology options within the defined strategic solutions to ensure the right tools are leveraged for the right purpose
Design data & information architecture (Logical Data Model, Metadata, High Level ETL & Semantic Layer)
Document source to target data mapping
Document Technical and Business Metadata
Identify architecture risks and coordinate with client's Program/Project Manager to mitigate risks
Finalize & complete logical & physical data model
Transition technical design to the development team, and support them during the development process
Provide leadership to the test team
Assist Project Manager in the development of project plan
Identification and management of risks and issues

Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum of 10 years of working experience in IT
Minimum of 7 years of experience in DWH domain, developing and supporting star schema, DWH ETL processes and PL/SQL
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Senior Designer/Technical Architect role
Minimum of 5 years working experience in Informatica ETL tool
Minimum of 3 years' experience working with the Teradata database (if the candidate has outstanding ETL skills, this may not be required, but is highly desirable)
Experience delivering projects via agile methodology
Expertise in UNIX, Shell Scripting, PL/SQL
