Programme Manager- Project Manager- Consulting - PMO - Insurance

Our client is a dynamic expanding IT Services and Consultancy organisation with a global presence. They provide high-profile UK and international top-tier clients within the digital/channel, customer, data, service management and enterprise services with a quality and professional service.

As a Programme Manager you will be integral to the delivery of many client projects, working with Tier 1 global insurance organisations.

You must come from a consulting background such as the "Big 5", ideally with insurance expertise.

Essential:

• Experience working as a Programme/Project Manager in a major consultancy and the ability to demonstrate outstanding core consultancy values
• Understanding of insurance Back Office process models
• Able to review complex technology integration projects
• An appreciation of insurance market trends
• Sound approach towards application strategy and roadmap definition
• Understanding of end to end system integration
• Agile as well as Waterfall project delivery experience
• Ability to work as part of large systems integration projects

Responsibilities:

• Project and programme planning
• Portfolio planning and management
• Stakeholder management
• One or more delivery methods (Prince2, MSP, PMP)
• People management
• Managing complex interdependent workstreams and risks
• PMO set-up and operation
• Project/programme forecasting, accounting and reporting
• Establishing offshore and near-shore delivery teams
• Managing distributed deliveries - UK - Europe - India
• Cross-shore systems integration projects in insurance
• Identifying and managing internal and external project dependencies
• Estimating cost and schedule for activities across the systems development life cycle (analysis, design, build, test, deploy)
• Managing scope changes to in-flight projects
• Continuous improvement of project practices
• Working on projects that have managed deliveries with an annual budget of £5M+
• Systems delivery management
• Business deployment management and working with people change teams
• Managing projects as part of a major Business Transformation programme.
