Solution Architect - Solution Designer - Telecommunications - Fixed Line

We are looking for a Solution Designer/Solution Architect to work with a World Leading IT Services company on site with one of their key Tier 1 Telecommunications clients. You will be responsible for the Solution Design of a Strategic Pricing Tool for Business products in the SME/SoHO Market.

You will be involved in all aspects of the project, taking the high level architecture and translating it into an exceptional Solution Design, liaising with external and internal stakeholders, coordinating design decisions for systems for which multiple suppliers are involved.

Key Requirements

• Experience as a Solution Designer or Solution Architect for complex Fixed Line Telecommunications solutions, preferably business products.
• Strong understanding of UML design principles.
• Coordinating design decisions for systems to be delivered by multiple suppliers, both internal and external.Ability to lead design discussions, internally or with third party vendors
• Understanding of development methodology and software development
• Extensive experience in documenting systems design and developing functional specifications.
• Ensure that the designs produced are delivered, tested and deployed as designed.

Desirable

• Designing solutions in a multi-tiered IT Infrastructure.
• IT Degree or similar
• Industry qualifications/vocational training around Telecommunications, Solution Design/Solution Architecture eg TOGAF
